I did a site visit of a hybrid physical therapy program wherein neither the faculty nor the students reside in the geographic location of the university / college. I consider this a radical departure from traditional physical therapy instruction because of the significant amount of psychomotor content which was introduced and taught remotely. I found that there were a few such programs prior to the pandemic, but the pandemic has accelerated the development of more programs. This trend is reflected in the following journal articles:
